The premise

Built for the goal you name.

Tell StillMind what you want to get to, in your own words. Sleeping through the night. Staying steady before you present. Being less reactive with your kids. You can say it out loud instead of typing it, and that sentence becomes the spine of the whole course.

From there StillMind builds the sequence that gets you there: how many sessions it takes, what each one works on, which technique it uses, how long it runs and how much it talks you through. All of it sized to how long you've been practising, so a first course starts where a beginner starts.

Two people asking for calmer mornings get two different courses.

The four types

Four kinds of journey.

Techniques

Get properly good at one technique instead of half-knowing five.

Pick breath focus, body scan, visualisation, mantra or sound awareness. A beginner learns it one piece at a time, and someone further along refines the version they already practise.

Loving-kindness

Grow warmth toward yourself and other people, including the ones it's hardest to aim at.

Good for anyone whose inner commentary has an edge to it, or who wants to soften a relationship that has gone quiet and tense.

Goal-based

Point every session at one thing you actually want to change.

One intention carries the whole course. The app’s own example: “wake with intent each morning.”

Self-discovery

Make room for what surfaces when you finally stop moving.

Suits a season of change: a new job, a move, a relationship ending, or the feeling that something is asking for your attention and you can't name it yet.

Not sure which one fits? The meditation quiz takes two minutes and points you at a starting technique.

Making one

How your course gets built.

01

Choose the kind of journey

Techniques, loving-kindness, goal-based or self-discovery. This sets what the whole course is for.

02

Choose the tone it speaks in

Spiritual and connected, scientific and grounded, compassionate and healing, or balanced and adaptable. The tone holds for every session.

03

Answer four or five questions

One of them lets you say "You choose for me" if you’d rather not decide. The last is open and optional: anything you want the course to know, typed or spoken.

04

Choose how far you want to go

Short for a gentle start. Standard for room to build a real habit. Deep for the full path. Somewhere between three and fourteen sessions.

Moments later the course exists: a name, an arc, and every session titled, with its own technique focus, guidance density and length worked out for you (5 to 30 minutes, based on your experience level).

Every course type and every length is open to everyone, and building one costs nothing. Each session you then play uses one of your monthly guided sessions, and StillMind Plus raises that monthly allowance.

Session by session

Every session picks up where you left off.

You never start over and you never cover the same ground twice. Each session already knows which techniques you’ve learned, what keeps coming up for you, and how the last one went, so it can take you a step further towards the goal you set instead of repeating the one before it.

A course arc: five sessions behind you, the one you are on, and the rest still ahead.

You say how it went

A few seconds after a session: what settled, what didn't, whether the pace was right.

The next one meets you there

What you said changes how much guidance you get and how the next session is framed, so it fits the state you're actually in rather than the one the plan assumed.

Your goal stays the goal

A reflection can move the pace, never the destination. What you asked for at the start is written into every script, first session to last.

As you get steadier, the guidance thins out. Early sessions walk you through every step. Later ones leave more silence, because you need less of it filled in.

If a reflection suggests you’re having a genuinely hard time, it is never quoted back to you in a script. The next session softens, and you’re pointed toward support.

Privacy

Where the AI runs.

Different parts of a course are generated in different places, so here’s exactly where each one runs.

On your iPhone, where it can be
On an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence, the running “journey so far” narrative that carries the course forward is generated on the device itself by Apple Foundation Models.
In the cloud, from labels only
On other devices, or when the on-device model cannot run it, that same summary is generated in the cloud from the short derived labels described below, never from your entries.
In the cloud, for the writing
The long-form session script, the words you actually hear, is written in the cloud.

Anything a course draws from your journal travels as short derived labels only, themes, a mood label and what you found hard, through a fixed allowlist with each value capped at 64 characters. Raw entries stay where they are, under the same encryption they’ve always had.

I was sceptical about AI generated and guided meditation sessions, but within a few moments that all melted away. Now I am glad I have a tool to achieve calm that adapts to the situation I find myself in. The app responds well, the voices are calming yet clear. This has just become my daily driver of calm.

I didn't know I needed this

The personalisation of these meditations is amazing. Most meditations I've done in the past have been generic and my mind stays to wander...

The personalisation of these meditations is amazing. Most meditations I've done in the past have been generic and my mind stays to wander, but I can use these guided meditations to keep bringing me back to the core reason why I'm doing it and not getting lost in my own thoughts.

AI guided meditation for the win

StillMind changed the game for me when it comes to meditation, because I can write down my intentions and let the voice guide me. (I am a beginner to meditation)

Frequently asked questions

What is a personal meditation course?

A personal meditation course is a sequence of guided meditations built around something you've told the app you're working on. It has a beginning, a shape and an end, usually somewhere between three and fourteen sessions. In StillMind you choose the kind of journey, the tone and how far you want to go, and the app composes the curriculum: a course name, an arc, and a named session-by-session sequence with its own technique focus and length for each one.

How long does a meditation course take?

That depends on the length you choose when you create it. Short is a gentle start to build on, Standard gives room to build a real habit, and Deep is the full path. Courses run roughly three to fourteen sessions depending on the type and length, and each session comes out between 5 and 30 minutes based on your experience level. There's no timetable to keep up with, so you take the next session when you're ready for it.

Is every session different?

Yes. Each session's script is written fresh at the moment you press play rather than pulled from a library, so no two are identical, even within the same course. Every one is anchored to the goal you gave at the start and placed in the arc, which is why a later session picks up where the earlier ones left off. You can also change the narrating voice from one session to the next.

How does it decide what comes next?

The arc is set when the course is created, so the order of techniques and themes is decided up front. After a session you can reflect on how it landed, and that reflection shapes the next one: how much guidance you get and how it's framed. It doesn't move the focus of the next session or reorder the arc. Adaptation happens inside the plan rather than to it.

Which parts run on my device?

On an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence, the running “journey so far” narrative that carries your course forward is generated on the device itself by Apple Foundation Models. On other devices, or if the on-device model cannot run it, that summary is generated in the cloud instead. The long-form session script is always written in the cloud. Either way, what leaves your phone is a short list of derived labels, each capped at 64 characters, and never the text of your journal entries.

Can I change my goal partway through?

The goal you set at the start holds for that course. It's what every session is anchored to, and it shouldn't drift while you're in the middle of the path. If what you're working on genuinely changes, you create a new course around the new goal, and the sessions you've already done stay in your history. Reflections let you adjust how the course feels as you go without moving the target.
