Meditation for anxiety

Meditation for anxiety requires understanding that 'just breathe' can sometimes trigger panic attacks, that certain body awareness techniques might amplify anxious sensations, and that racing thoughts aren't a sign you're doing it wrong. Effective anxiety meditation needs to account for your nervous system's actual state, provide grounding when helpful and distraction when that's what you need, and never imply that anxiety is something you should just breathe away.
